Of the 100,000 found, very few are returned to their owners because they cannot be identified. To combat this situation, the State has made it compulsory to identify all cycles sold by traders. The data of the owners and their cycles are kept in the "Fichier National Unique des Cycles identifiés". This is one of the major advances in the active mobility section of the Mobility Orientation Law, which aims to make cycling a fully-fledged mode of transport. The aim of this measure, which has been in force since 1 January 2021, is to deter criminals - in the medium term, an unidentified bicycle will be a suspect bicycle - and to facilitate the return of bicycles to their owners.
Our identification solution is based on a T.H.R. sticker. (Very High Resistance) sticker developed with a specialist in marking and traceability (technology used in aeronautics). A THR (Very High Resistance) technology that is very difficult to tear off and cannot be altered without destruction and is not affected by sun or rain. Unlike engraving and other identification solutions, the THR sticker is suitable for all types of frame, is quick to apply and does not damage the frame.
The sticker can be applied very quickly (30 seconds). Degrease the chosen surface and stick the Paravol identifier using our template specially designed for our marking solution. The identifier must be visible and readable (number readable at 30 cm) without handling the bike. The registration is done on our platform in a few seconds.
If you receive bicycles that are already identified, all you have to do is register the owner's details at the time of sale. To do this, log in to your Paravol professional portal. If you have not received your login details, please contact us.
